Daniel is not in my direct line and I do not have further information on him.

Daniel Labar was born in 1763 to Daniel Labar, who owned the property where the Water Gap Station of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad is located, and, it is said, cultivated, besides this plot, the islands in front. There were several large apple-trees growing near where the station buildings stand, from which the writer distinctly remembers obtaining fruit in his boyhood.

Daniel Labar (b. 1763), his elder brother Abraham, and Catharine, George, Abram, Jacob, John, Eliabeth, Sophia, and Ann were children of Daniel, and grandsons of Abraham Labar, who, with his brothers, Peter and Charles, came to this country about 1730. Catharine married William Steward, a British soldier, George married Sarah Jayne in 1800, Abram married Miss Casebeer, Jacob married Rachel Smith, John married Rachel Brown, Elizabeth married Aaron Depui, Sophia married George Spragle, and Ann married John Van Etten in 1798.

Abraham, the brother of Daniel (b. 1763), entered the army of the Revolution at the commencement of the struggle for independence; he was a major before the date of July 25, 1776, and was appointed colonel in the spring of 1777.

Daniel also served time in the war. He was drafted in 1779 and served in the PA militia.

Daniel married Elizabeth Chambers in 1786 in a ceremony performed by Reverend Elias Van Benscoten.

Their children are John Chambers La Bar.
