94. The Sailor\u2019s Departure. Le Blond, No. 78.
\nThe hour of Jack\u2019s departure\u2014possibly to Sebastopol\u2014has come, and, clasping the hand of his weeping wife with one of his, and his first born with the other, he looks almost as glum as his poor mother seated behind at the cottage door. His second son, no doubt, in time to come, is to be a sailor too; but for the present he is only anticipating the future by playing with his toy boats. The dog, hoping only for a run, and ignorant of his master\u2019s intended prolonged absence, waits expectantly for him at the gate. The red, tree-encircled roof of another cottage is seen close by. This makes an excellent companion to No. 93. <\/p>\n
