Consequently, this list includes residents of both townships and should not be interpreted as a list exclusively of Fallowfield residents. The original handwritten assessment also records taxes in Pennsylvania&#8217;s colonial currency of pounds (\u00a3), shillings (s), and pence (d). There were 20 shillings to a pound and 12 pence to a shilling. Tax amounts are shown in pounds\/shillings\/pence. For example, 0\/7\/0 represents seven shillings, while 1\/2\/6 represents one pound, two shillings, and sixpence.
