Mary Bridget Murray was the mother of Frank L. Fay<\/a> of Greenville, PA. Her first marriage was to Patrick Cavanaugh<\/a> and her second was to Patrick Fay<\/a> in about 1878. Her parents were Hugh Murray and Mary Costilla. I don’t have any info on them.<\/p>\n

Birth<\/h2>\n

Per her death certificate, Mary was born in Ireland in February 1850. I do not have her birth certificate. <\/p>\n

Name<\/h3>\n

Mary seems to have gone by Bridget earlier in her life and Mary by the time of her second marriage. Bidelia\/Bedelia is a form of the very common name Bridget and is often the reason for girls named Bridget being known as Delia. <\/p>\n

Immigration<\/h2>\n

She came to the U.S. in 1860 at the age of ten. I have found a few Marys in this year but I can’t match her up to any of them for sure.<\/p>\n

Marriage<\/h2>\n

Mary was married twice, first to Patrick Cavanagh and second to Patrick Fay.<\/p>\n

First Marriage, to Patrick Cavanagh<\/h3>\n

Mary married Patrick on August 4, 1868, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Second Marriage, to Patrick Fay<\/h3>\n

Sometime around 1878, according to the 1910 census, Mary was remarried, this time to Patrick Fay. They remained married until Patrick’s death until 1912.<\/p>\n

Children<\/h2>\n

Mary had two sets of children, three with her first husband and two with her second.<\/p>\n

Children with Patrick Cavanaugh<\/h4>\n

I don’t know if they were later adopted by their stepfather or if they just changed their names.<\/p>\n

    Mary had two children with her second husband Patrick Fay.<\/p>\n

    2. Loretta M. Fay. Born in May 1885, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Death<\/h2>\n

      Mary died on January 20, 1914, of bronchial pneumonia and suffered from myocarditis. She was 64 years old. Her death certificate is below. <\/p>\n

      Burial<\/h4>\n
