From 1190 to 1752, the Julian calendar was used in England. In 1751 England switched to the Gregorian calendar.

Yeoman - a man who cultivated his own land
Husbandman - a man who cultivated land that he rented
Indenture - a written agreement between two or more people, usually in two identical parts, each signed by one of the parties
Journeyman - a man who hired out his services to an employer by the day
Coparceners - co-heirs
Moiety - a half, usually a half-share of a deceased's estate
Demesne - land of the manor that was retained by the lord of the manor

Revolutionary War Terms

associators - this American Revolutionary War term was adopted to designate those who subscribed to the test-oath of allegiance to the provincial government, as prescribed by resolution of Congress.  Those who did not take this oath were called "non-associators".
