My line of Jordans emigrated probably from England and settled in Virginia counties of Lunenburg, Amelia, and Halifax, later moving into the Triune area of Williamson County, Tennessee, in the 1790’s.

My line is as listed above, at least as far as I’ve been able to determine at this moment. It’s possible that your Jonas Jordan is related somehow. I’ll keep an eye out for the name as I’m doing my research.
Karen. Just read your comment of 2019 that the Williamson County Tennessee Jordans are not descended from the Planter of Jamestown, Samuel Jordan. It is 2024 and I wonder if you still feel the same? My husband is descended from William Jordan of Lunenburg died 1822 in Triune through two of William’s children, Benjamin and William. Louisa Ellen Jordan who you mention specifically is my husband’s third great grandmother. Was there a specific moment/ research focus when you realized there was no connection with the Jordan of Jamestown? Thank you for any help.
