Patrick Fay of Hastings, New Jersey, 1849

“The N.Y. Herald says, that on Sunday night, the roof of an old brewery, at Hastings, N.J., fell in, when two young Irishmen, of the names James Sherwood and Patrick Fay, were instantaneously killed in bed. Patrick Fays of Cleveland, Ohio

There were at least two Patrick Fays living in Cleveland in the late 1800s, one of whom is mine.
“The Three Patricks” – Patrick Fay, street urchin, runs wild and throws snowballs. This can’t be “my” Patrick because mine would have been a grown man of 37 in 1885.
