My husband was excited to see this bird; apparently it’s rarely seen around here. I managed to take a photo before it flew off.

We are lucky enough to be in a small pocket of an area that is completely free of deer in an area that is completely infested with deer. At least that’s what I used to think. Then this little cutie came ambling up the street, took a right into our yard and grazed her way …

In 2011 we were lucky enough to have a family of foxes living under our shed. There were two parents, another adult, probably a female, who helped watch the cubs, and six little roly poly cubs. Darn, they were cute! I got a few shots of them.
